MM won't add titles and/or credits

Hello all -

Im using MM 2 and windows xp, sp2. Hardware wise, I have a 3.2ghz PC with a
6600GT videocard with 128mb of RAM. The PC has 2GB of RAM.

The problem I'm encountering is that I can't add titles or credits. I don't
get any errors and MM doesn't freeze/crash. When I go to the Add Titles
screen, it just gives me a blank screen (I dont have any titles/credits to
select). The options to change the font are there and available without
problems.

I've downloaded one of those creativity packs to see if I'm just missing the
Titles, but that didn't work either.

I can finish whatever project/movie I'm working on without problems, even
after trying to add a Title. It just won't be there, nor will the credits.
I can add transitions with no problems.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the program, to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Under Movie Tasks, you have to first click on 'make titles or credits'. Are
you doing that?

See the attachment.

In response to your first question: yes, that's what I'm doing. When I go
to make the title, it lets me enter the text, but when I click "done, add
title to movie" nothing happens. I've tried to create a title at the
beginning, end or in front of a specific clip, but the same thing occurs each
time.

I'm not sure what attachment you're referring to.

Thanks for replying!

I'm working in Timeline view. I just tried it in storyboard view after
reading your question and the same thing happens.

I'm baffled to why you're experiencing your problem. You might have a
corrupted MM. I really can't say. Maybe John or Papajohn could jump in and
give you a suggestion.

I've been following the thread and do
not have a specific answer.....

You may have a problem with your video
driver. If you reduce your Graphics Hardware
Acceleration as per the instructions in the
following article and realize an improvement,
it's an indication that you need to update
your video driver:

And...maybe some maintenance would
help but I cannot promise results.

Running Disk Cleanup, Error Checking and
Defrag on a regular schedule is a good idea.

(check the two boxes..."Automatically fix file
system errors" and "Scan for and attempt
recovery of bad sectors") the utility will run
the next time you restart your computer.
(run error checking repeatedly until it finds
no errors)
