How can I get a reinstall of moviemaker 1.1 so I can
begin the update process afresh? I think something is
corrupted or missing from my original install

Note that the mentioned method is completely unsupported -

1. Put your XP CD in your Drive. (My CD is in F:)
2. Go to a command prompt.
3. Change Directory to your Moviemaker directory (Typically "c:\Program
Files\Movie Maker")
4. Type the following:

expand f:\i386\moviemk.ex_ moviemk.exe
expand f:\i386\wmmutil.dl_ wmmutil.dll
expand f:\i386\wmmfilt.dl_ wmmfilt.dll
expand f:\i386\wmmres.dl_ wmmres.dll

You can find additional informatuion on this procedure on PapaJohn's
website by either browsing the URL in my signature, or by going straight to
the site and section here -

html. Hope this helps.
