Mrs. G

WMM has encountered a problem and needs to close. Error Signature - AppName:
moviemk.exe AppVer: 2.1.4026.0 ModName: qedit.dll ModVer: 6.52600.5512
Offset 0001b2f1 When I click Debug I get DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has
encountered a problem and needs to close. I have Windows XP and I'm a novice
user. If I uninstall IE7 (as I've seen suggested) and that does not fix the
problem how do I reinstall IE7?

I would try renaming the directory of the InterVideo program files, but I'm
not sure how to do that. I need step by step instructions. I don't know
where to find the C:\ProgramFiles\InterVideo" directory. When I click on My
Computer and try to view the Program files folder, I get a message a message
that says: These files are hidden. This folder contains files that keep your
system working properly. You should not modify its contents. Am I in the
right place? Thanks, Mrs. G.

I also am getting the same error message and have tried renaming the
Intervideo Folder, but still get the same message. Is there something else to
try?

Paul

Thanks, uninstalling IE 7 worked. Not to be mean but when someone says "the
exact same" it usually means OS, error msg and the like. Otherwise I would
have started a new thread. Seems irresponsible that a manufacturer would
create a program that conflicts so greatly with other programs it supplies.

I agree. I'm disappointed that they have not supplied a fix for this
application, especially since it's embedded in the service pack. It's very
frustrating. It makes me leary when I see all the problems people are having
with the application about using it for future projects. I don't want to get
hung up in the middle again. Thanks, Mrs. G

Unfortunately each and every pc, even if they come off say the dell
prodcution line one after the other will be totally different within hours
of being turned on, and then have different software added to it.

Yes, IE7 does upset MM and yes it shouldn't happen, but if it was a total
IE7/MM bug everyone would have the same problem, because only a small
minority suffer, it is most likely due to other factors on the pc as well.

If yu fancy a change from MM, first visit the forums for all the other video
programmes, you'll find each and everyone suffers from problems just like
MM, which is a shame, but it's the way pc's are.
