MM 2 Bugs

Hi,

I think I've got a few bugs in my version of Movie Maker. At the moment,
whenever I try to capture video I get an error message saying that the
program needs to shut down. It seems like it's related to DivX, but I've been
to the website and downloaded the latest version and I still get the same
problem.

Also, when I try to import large files (15 mins), only so much of it is
imported.

And, generally, on this PC I can't preview the collections. I have to drag
the clips on to the time line to preview them. And most times I have to
import clips into the collections and then export it as a movie file and
import it back in again to work on it, otherwise the pictures freeze on the
time line- although I do still get sound.

Altogether pretty unsatisfactory. I've been on the microsoft website to see
if I can download mm2 again, but it seems to be that you can only update the
microsoft programmes, you can't reinstall them. I could pay for them to send
me a CD, but I resent doing that.

Anybody else had similar experiences?

Movie Maker often doesn't work well with DivX or Xvid files... and
conversion to others is the path to take. My Import Movie Source Files >
Video > AVI page is about such AVI files.
