Well I think it's beneficial to keep both Movie Maker 1 and Movie Maker 2
(or 2.1) on my system, because Microsoft broke Movie Maker 2 and didn't fix
it in Movie Maker 2.1.
Two of my biggest Movie Maker 2 and 2.1 pet peeves:
1) No ability to edit to single frame granularity. Movie Maker 1 had this
capability but Movie Maker 2 (and 2.1) can only edit in 2 frame increments.
Real time preview I could see limiting to every other frame, but that should
have to prevent editing to single frame granularity.
2) The dropping of 27th frame in each clip. This bug inappropriately removes
content from the finished product, which is not acceptable, and should be
addressed and corrected immediately.
In my opinion both of these are significant issues and Microsoft should have
fixed both of these issues in the Movie Maker 2.1 update.
Dropping the 27th frame of each clip is totally unacceptable for a released
product, and Microsoft ought to correct this issue immediately.
Microsoft should also, at a minimum, provide a user option for enabling
editing at single frame granularity.
