MM 2.1 Crashes when trying to add titles

I have no idea whats going on! I can add my movies and pics and even add
sound track and even playback them together without having problems, but IF I
try to add a credit or tittle it crashes! Please Help!!!!!!!!
 
A first place to start is to see if you have incompatible source (video
and/or audio) files. Try this URL:

Another trick that sometimes works is to uncheck the boxes in Tools|
Options| Compatibility.

Reboot your computer and make sure nothing else is running when you re-
start WMM.

Turn off modem so that you don't have another program trying to do on-
line updates whilst you are using WMM.

I had same problem (tried all the other solutions - no use). I'd previously
uninstalled Videospin 1.1, Pinnacle Systems, think maybe it took the gdiplus
thingy with it when I uninstalled. I re-installed Videospin (similar sort of
prog to MM) and MM worked perfectly again. Have you uninstalled any similar
progs? Not a computer expert, just passing on my solution - hope it works for
you.
