Mixing Memory

I'm currently running 512MB of TwinMOS PC2700 in my system
(http://www.twinmos.com/dram/dram_p_dt_ddr333_unb.htm), if I added another
512MB of this GeIL memory (http://www.geil.com.tw/portal/product_333_1.php),
should it work? I've tried to select another module that has the same
density chips (32x8), but is this the deciding factor as to whether 2
different branded memory chips will work together?

Thanks
Sometimes it works out fine, sometimes it does not... That is the
best I can give you from my experience. It sounds like you have made
the effort to find a product with similar ratings, however, some RAM
manufacturers introduce other variances by their design layout of the
memory chips and trace paths on the memory modules. This can cause
distributed capacitance to vary between the different sticks. This
can contribute to the annoying condition where each stick alone may
work fine, but together they will not. It really is a roll of the
dice...
