mixed-up?

I've made short movies thinking, if I record them to my
CD one at a time, I could make one long movie. NOT !
Why when I record them to the CD it's not in order? Why
does the computer decide it thinks it know better then me
what order my short movies should be in?
Is there a way I can record to the CD and make sure the
short movies are in the right order as I recorded them?
I recorded a movie yesterday and it put the ending 1st
and part 4 second.
HELP! ! !
(one more) Do I need to format my CD's 1st and if so why
doesn't Windows Movie Maker say so? Could this be my
problem?
 
When you record the movies to the CD, Windows will sort
the movies in alphabetical order. If you want to play
movies in a specific order, I would suggest numbering the
files. For example, "01 Intro To My Movie", "02 First
Act", etc...
