Mixed indent in ppt 2003

I am trying to create a slide that has non-bulleted lines
with no second line indent in conjunction with bulleted
lines that have a second line indent. This was possible
in Office XP (and earlier versions), but in 2003 a change
to the indent affects all lines, bulleted or not. Any
suggestions?

I was able to do this just now by placing my cursor in the appropriate
line, turning the bullet off, and dragging the carat to the appropriate
place. You need to have View/Rulers on to drag the carats, but at least
you don't have to hold down the CTRL button while dragging them as you
used to have to do in previous versions.

See if applying whatver settings line by line instead of to the entire
placeholder does the trick.

Or are you working on the master and not seeing the changes affect the
regular slides or something?

I have tried the exact process you recommend here and the
movement of the carrot changes the format of all lines
(bulleted or not and selected or not). I also tried to
affect the change via the slide master and had the same
result. Any other thoughts?

Can you send me a sample slide via email? Please include a description of
what it is you are trying to do and a reminder that this is PPT 2003.

Please don't post the slide, just email it to me. I can't look at it until
this evening, but maybe I can figure out what's going on.
