Hello!

Just a simpel question.
Is it possible to do a mix of Win2k-Servers and Win2003-Servers?
Can a 2003-Server be added to a Win2000-Domain?

Are there any advantages/disadvantages?
Or is better to use only 2000 or 2003 servers?

Thanks for your help!

Of course.

Servers are no issue. When you add the first Win2003 DC you must first
ForestPrep the forest (once) and then each individual domain (once each.)

You should Service Pack your Win2000 DCs up to recent levels but that
is a good practice anyway.

The Win2003 Servers have more features.

When all of your DCs are Win2003 then you can enable even more features
in Active Directory (like perhaps Domain Rename or restructuring.)
