Hi,

I just tried to update my Mitac 6120N notebook with the latest bios ver.
1.11
I typed the command miflash ***.bin /u

Now the laptop is dead.

Is there any way to recover the bios?

I have the old version on a floppy disk.
I tried with the PIO boot block procedure, but the laptop doesn't even
access to the floppy drive.

Can you help?
Thanks.

Try here,

when you make the emergency re-flash floppy make sure you wait long
enough even if the system doesn't seem to be doing anything.

You might try clearing the CMOS.

See if the EEPROM chip is removable, then at least you can replace it with
a chip that has the prior bios already flashed to it.

No. It is not removable. Unfortunately.
