Mistakenly installed MS SpyWare on ME o/s

download and install of beta mistakenly installed on ME
o/s resulted in errors. Unable to see in Add/Remove
Programs. Now, occasionally receive window saying possible
serious problems on PC, click NEXT goes to "ErrorGuard"
which I do not trust so do not install. No other obvious
problems yet. Ideas?

In ME you can revert your PC with system restore.

This is also indeed a serious bug, if you manage to
install......!?

The symptom you are seeing sounds like an issue with spyware on your
machine, rather than something caused by the attempt to install Microsoft
Antispyware on Windows Millennium Edition. I haven't tested this myself,
although I have a machine I could do it on--but I believe the installation
will fail without modifying your system.

I'd follow up using pluns suggestions for alternative applications to clean
your machine.
