I wanted to view a .htaccess file I created and I think I
had "Always use this program to open these files" because
now it opens in Notepad all the time and I can't seem to
get it back to the way it was. I don't see .htaccess in my
file list under view file types and in Dos I searched with
assoc and nothing there either. Does anyone know how I can
get this back to the way it was or what type of file to
associate this with?

TIA

From a command prompt;
assoc .htaccess=
to remove the file type association.

Hi!
Yes,
go into the folder where this file is stored, right click
on it and open its properties.
You will see 3 tabs, "General', "Security", and "Summary"
Please click the General tab, (Its prob already open) and
look at the upper portion. You should see "Type of file:
and below it "Opens with": and whatever its set to now and
you can click the "Change" tab and then select the new app
that you wish to use for viewing or modifying.
Have a great day!
Bill
