Hello,

I have 2 XP PC's at home that are connected via a wireless network.
I have just had to reload one of the PC's. After installing drivers etc, my
PC's do not now see eachother. On the network adapter properties window
of the non reloaded PC, there is an Advanced tab which allows me to set the
Channel.
One the reloaded PC, that tab is missing.

Does anyome have an idea why this would be so.

Thanks, Graham

Greetings Graham,

Make sure the WZC is started and set to automatic. Click
Start, Run, and type "services.msc". Open services and
scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration Service, Start
the service and set it to automatic.

Eric,
I checked, and the service is running on both of my PC's.
I have at the moment no way of setting the adpater channel.

Graham,
Are you running in infrastructure or adhoc mode?
Infrastructure will just latch onto the router's channel, adhoc would offer
a channel I think.
Perhaps you are set for infrastructure mode and need adhoc?
Just a thought.
