Dear all,

There is an error when I right-click on the icons from the desktop and
explorer. The error message is:

Warning
Failed to load library, file(VDShellrc.dll) was not found.

I have done the virus scan and search the microsoft dll library, but
there is clue about it. Although there was some post related to it,
there is no solution at all. Could anyone solve this problem for me?
Many Thanks.

Best Regards,
Thomas

Dear Wesley,

Thank for the advice. However, it does not work. I have already
removed everything related to Virtual Drive from the register. Also,
I have checked that this dll file does not belong to the virtual drive
program I am using. Is there anyone has solved it before?

Many Thanks
Thomas

Thomas;

That was the only reference to VDShellrc.dll
I could find Searching the web.
And that had to be translated from French.

Do a Search on your machine for VDShellrc.dll. If/when
found | Right click VDShellrc.dll | Properties | Version tab |
Description (Some times this actually tells you what the file is for/does
what) | Under Other version information | Highlight each item in the list |
Read about it in the right hand pane (Some times this actually tells you
something useful)

Jonathan278 didn't mention the name of his VD.
You don't mention the name of your Virtual Drive software either.
Do they have some sort of Support or Help?

Wesley,

I search for it from the web as well. I can only find that forum
which is related to it as well. But, it does not really help.

The file VDShellrc.dll is not found in the computer. Also, it is not
included in the Virtual Drive software. 'cus it is not a file from
the virtual drive. The virtual drive I am using is VirtualDrive 8 of
FarStone.

Moreover, I have searched this file from other normal computers which
installed the Virtual Drive as well. But, there is no such file
found.

It seems to be a dead case. ><

Thomas;

Sorry to hear that you need to reformat and reinstall.
However, if you have other problems maybe they will get fixed as well.

I did some more searching for VDShellrc.dll. You are not the only one with
that problem.
No one seems to have a solution. I'm afraid that you and I have added to
the library of not very much information. :-(

Wesley,

Thanks for the advice. But I prefer using the manufacturer's Restore CD to
do it. So, I don't need to care about those hardware driver.

As you noticed, there were several people got the same problem. However,
there is no solution at all. That's sad =(
