Hi,
Vista has several special folders with special icons.
Examples: Documents, Videos, Music, Favorites, etc...

If you right-click\properties them you receive different options than you do
when doing the same for regular folder.

I played around with these folders, and also changed the drive letter of
some of my hard drive partitions, and now **SOME OF THESE SPECIAL FOLDERS ARE
GONE**.

How do I reconstruct them?

i could create shortcuts, but they do not have the same behavior under Vista.
(For instance in Windows Explorer, these special folders could be opened in
a drop-down manner, whereas shortcuts cannot)

Those are default folders. Never play with those. Try a System Restore to get them back to their original locations

I need a solution that is not system restore, as I need to keep most of the
modifications I did.
There must be some registery tweak, or some other option to reset these
default folders.

Heh, you seem really into these 'sledgehammer to crack a nut' techniques!

Thank you Brink and Dave. The link you gave helped me solve it.
btw, I didn't have to set the deafult location in the registry, I simply
updated to the correct current location, and restarted.
Thanks :)
