Missing USB.inf file

I just had to restore my computer completely for the second time due to a
power surge wipeout. I reinstalled my Windows XP and all of my programs
successfully but cannot reinstall my printers. All I can get is the message
the the USB.inf file is missing. Can anyone tell me how to get that file? I
need my printers.

See if the file is in the C:\Windows\Inf folder. If so, try this fix:

If not, get a copy from another machine and move it to that folder.
