Missing TWAIN drivers

My applications in Windows 2000 can't see any TWAIN driver
in spite that I have installed and reinstalled the driver
to my CanoScan D1250U2. When I look at the driver from
Control Panel it looks OK and the Scanner test also
indicates OK. I have tested the scanner from another
installation of Windows 2000 and there it works OK.

Does anyone have a tip on where to find a solution to this
problem? Where does the applications get information on
which TWAIN drivers that exists on the computer? I would
hate to reinstall Windows with all applications just to
fix this problem.

Sincerely:
Lars Larsson

Compare the subfolders under \winnt\Twain32 and \winnt\Twain_32
between a machine that's working properly and the one that isn't.
If the Canon folders and/or files already exist, you may need to
reinstall the application(s) which can't see it (e.g. Photoshop).

Also make sure that a service called Still Image Monitor (stimon.exe)
is running. (Use msconfig.exe to check, this service should be
running at startup. Download msconfig.exe for Win XP from
download.microsoft.com, if you need to. It runs with Win2K.) If this
service is not running, you will have problems running your scanner,
possibly including not being able to see or access the Twain drivers.
