missing toolbar and status bar

This is probably very simple but I cant find how to fix this. My cat jumped
on my laptop keybord while I was connected to the internet and my toolbar and
status bar disappeared. When I'm not connected, everything else comes up
normal. can anyone help me resore the toolbar and status bar, oh almost
forgot, the staus bar re-appears briefly when i move the pointer to the area
where it usually appears. Thanks.

Right click the "status bar" and click Properties,
Uncheck "Autohide the taskbar" and tick "Keep the taskbar on top of windows"
Click OK

See if hitting the F11 key helps. Your cat may have hit that
key which puts Internet Explorer into Full Screen mode.
