Missing Title Animations

I have seen several posts on this topic dating back a few months, but there
is has been no definitive answer. I thought I'd bring it back up. I have a
workstation running XP SP1 with WMM 2.0 and another workstation running XP
SP2 with WMM 2.1. The list of title animations are missing from wmm on both
computers. Does anyone know what causes this? My first though is this may be
patch related. Please let me know if you know of the cause or (hopefully) a
fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The only answer that I've seen so far that is plausible is that there was an
installation problem.
Fortunately with version 2.0 this is easy to do a reinstall using the
following link:

Unfortunately with the machine that has 2.1 on it the only way that works is
to reinstall SP2.
There have been and continues to be other suggestions as to how to reinstall
WMM 2.1 but so far none of them seem to work.
