Missing Themes and Appearance

Bob

I have a new Windows XP Pro system, and just about finished setting it
up.

I see that the "Themes" tab is missing from Display Properties, and
"Appearance and Themes" is missing from the Control Panel.

I am not sure if that was the way it was shipped, or due to something
I did after I got the PC. I do have it set for Classic mode, rather
than XP.

Anyhow, how do I get Themes back? I really only want to save the
desktop settings that I have set up just in case I need to restore
them in the future.

Thanks, Bob

That sounds strange. I also have my XP set up to Classic mode but I have a
Themes tab in my Display properties dialog box.

How are you viewing the control panel in "Classic view" or "Category view".
The "Apperance and Themes" item only exists in "Category view".
