I am trying to recover from the ms blaster worm. I have
followed the instruction and down loaded the patch from
the microsoft web site. In the process of trying to get
back on line I have lost my TCP/IP files. Which apparently
you need those files to get online. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mitzi

You can first try uninstalling and reinstalling everything in your "Network"
control panel, especially the TCP/IP protocol(s). Any other suggestions
would require that you give info on what OS you use and what symptoms you
have; eg: what error messages are you getting and what made you conclude
that your TCP/IP files are lost?

Hi Mitzi,

You can try resetting TCP/IP with netsh. See 299357 How to Reset Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) in Windows XP
