Missing System Explorers

Dave

For some reason, my system explorers have disappeared.
the page shows up, but the pane that allows selecting
BHO's, processes, etc., is blank.

The only thing I can add is that I recently loaded Norton
Internet Security 2005, but I can't find any reason why
that program may have screwed up my MS spyware.

I have uninstalled MS spyware, then cleaned up using
Norton WinDoctor and reloaded the MS spyware.

Same thing... no system explorers.

Anyone out there have any ideas?

thanks in advance,
Dave

Try these steps:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> type in ->
command)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without
the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware

it's not norton internet security 2005 that causes this
problem. it's on either xp or MSAS.

I disagree, although the precise cause may be open to argument. What makes
you think that it is XP, or Microsoft Antispyware, when the issue appears to
happen only in relation to certain Norton products?

Well if certain norton product is causing these problem,
I'm sure it would be listed on the release note by now
and there would be a kb article about this issue.

I won't go so far as to ascribe cause and effect, but there's certainly a
clear correlation involved here. Such a KB article would have to pass a
very high bar, I don't expect that to happen. This is a beta product which
will have a significant rev in the next few months--I don't expect this to
be further documented at this point.
