missing sound from movie PPT2003

PPT plays audio files. It plays video fine, but no audio from the video file
come through. When wmv file is played outside of PPT sound is heard, but not
from within PPT. Any help would be appreciated...

PowerPoint uses the MCI player, outside PowerPoint wmv files are typically
played by the Windows Media Player.
