Missing section of startbar

I recently ran a history eraser to get rid of stuff on
the computer that the previous owner may have had on
there, but in doing so, I believe it removed a file that
related to the most recently opened programs section of
the startbar. I have it set to display tyhe 6 most
opened, but all that is where they once were is an empty
space. Does anyone know how I may restore this?
