Missing reminders

Last week--for no discernable reason--my Outlook reminders
for both appointments and tasks stopped appearing.

When I open Outlook, I get the following message:

"There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders.
Some reminders may not appear. Cannot locate recurrance
information for this appointment."

There *is* no recurrance information for most of the
appointments or tasks.

I have already re-entered all the information on my tasks
list and saved the info again, but I still keep getting the
same message.

(I have not attempted to do the same--yet--with my calendar
appointments because there are so many of them.)

Does anyone know what the problem might be, and how to
resolve it?

OK. I did that.

Now I'm getting a different message:

"Microsoft Office Outlook Cannot start the reminder
service. Unable to show reminders."

I also did an Office Detect and Repair, but it didn't make
a difference.

Any other suggestions?

Round and round I go with this.

Since my post saying I was getting the "Microsoft Office
Outlook Cannot state the reminder service. Unable to show
reminders" message, I tried the /ResetFolders switch.

After I did that, I got back the orginal error message:
"The was a problem reading one or more of your reminders.
Some reminders may not appear. Cannot locate recurrance
information for this appointment.

If it's any help, I'm using Windows XP, Outlook 03.

What do I try next?

Another switch you might want to try is /CleanFreeBusy...

I tried that switch and the message saying

"The was a problem reading one or more of your reminders.
Some reminders may not appear. Cannot locate recurrance
information for this appointment" did not appear.

However, the second message:

"Microsoft Office Outlook Cannot state the reminder
service. Unable to show reminders" is back and I'm still
not getting my reminders.

Since I've already tried a "Detect and Repair" without the
restoration of my reminders, what are my options now?

Is there some file or files in Outlook that I can try to
replace?

I would rather not lose the record of all my scheduled
appointments if I can avoid it.

The only other thing I can think of is for you to try creating a new mail
profile from scratch, and deleting the old one after you've moved everything
to the new one. Good luck...let us know how it goes.
