You would set a reference to the file. Run a search for mscal.ocx on your
computer. Once you locate it, set the reference from any code window. Access
2007 doesn't require a calendar ocx so you may just be able to uncheck the
existing reference. If you do need it from the conversion of an older
database, you should be able to get it with Service Pack 1 for Office 2007.

This dll was removed from A2007, as I understand it. I did locate it
and put it into my references, but it doesn't seem to work so well. I
downloaded a cool utility that uses it, but never got it to work on
any of my A2007 target or development platforms. I don't know why,
though it appears it has different methods and/or properties than
previous Access versions.

Hi Jim,

Nope. I just found it on my system, which has Office 2007 Professional
installed. It shows up in the ActiveX controls listing as "Calendar Control
2007". However, do note that Microsoft plans on removing this control from
Access 2010.

Lisa:
There are many alternatives to the Microsoft Calendar control. The .accdb
file format for Access 2007 will automatically display a date picker for
fields bound to a Date/Time data type. I like the calendar that Allen Browne
makes available:

Which is why I've only tested it, and never used it in any professional
applications. Instead I use an Access form which was originally built in
Access 2.0 over 15 years ago and with conversion has worked in every Access
application since:

To use it in an .accdb file, merely convert the database to that format and
import the calendar form and module.
