It's vanished. I don't know where it is.

But I managed to put a shortcut on the desktop meanwhile

????????????????

1. Click on Vista's blue Start button and then click on "Help and Support".
2. Type RECYCLE BIN in the Search box, press the Enter key.
3. Click on "Show or hide the Recycle Bin".
4. Follow the self-help instructions.

You probably right-clicked on the Recycle Bin and
inadvertently selected "delete". It happened to me
recently, too.

Thank you. But I can't figger out how I lost it . . .

Right Click Desktop
Personalize
Under Tasks at top of Left Column
Choose "Change Desktop Icons"

Tick the Recycle Bin

Windows search is pretty impressive, don't you think?

Meant that to be Windows Help of course. My mind was wandering.

You had me scratching me head :-)

Yeah, I just added HELP to the Start screen. Never used it much in XP

Bill:
You're not the first one to delete the recycle bin instead of
emptying it. Carey's suggestion puts it back until it's deleted again. Have
a great day.

I remember reading somewhere earlier that the help section was the
equivalent of an 1800 page book.

Yep, you don't even have to type in Recycle bin. Do recycle in Help and
Support and it comes up with it as the second link. A lot of info.

Then we'd hear all the screams about, if I wasn't sure I wouldn't have told
it to do that in the first place...lol it's vicious circle.
