Missing RAM on Radeon

I bought a cheap-o 256meg Radeon7000 to make Vista Basic visible on an old
P3 Optiplex, with 1 MB on the mobo.

It's showing 64 MB total Available Graphics Memory, under
DISPLAY SETTINGS>ADVANCED SETTINGS>ADAPTER.

I got a Vista driver for it, but Vista does not like the driver :-(

Where's the rest of my RAM?

Arghhhhhhhh . . I picked up the wrong box :-(

Thanks for pointing out my stupidity. Fifty bucks did seem low.

But it is PCI,

Are you sure that's what you got? The Radeon 7000 is an AGP 2x/4x, 64mb
card.

Also watch out for the Hypermemory cards. They have 64MB or 128MB of onboard
RAM, but uses system RAM as a backup. Not sure how that would work with
Vista recognizing the available RAM for Aero Glass.

I have two seats here running Vista, both with shared video RAM and both run
Aero without issue. Probably not the best configuration for gaming, but
that's not an issue for me.
