I've got a question: can anybody see the Processor Performance Counter in
their XPE build, using PERFMON.EXE or Microsoft's PDH Test Application? I get
Process, but not Processor.
In theory, the Processor performance counter should track with the Task
Manager processor usage graph, which works nicely on XP Pro. On my test build
of XPE with everything I could find that was even vaguely related, the Task
Manager graph works properly but there is no Processor performance counter
available.

Already tried:
1. Rebuilding performance objects with LODCTR.EXE and .INI files in System32
folder. Result: The Processor performance counter is a base system counter,
and should be part of the 'Base Performance Counters' component, which is in
my test build.
2. Track missing .DLL files and make sure those components are in the build.
Result: added a few things such as Primitive: W32topl and the RSVP service,
basically anything I could link to performance counter functioning. No dice.
3. Used lodctr /S: function to extract the existing list from Windows, and
found it to be very similar to what an XP Pro machine shows, including all
the description entries for the Processor performance counter objects.
4. Tried with and without pagefile. Result: doesn't work either way.
5. Googled around with terms like "MIssing processor performance counter"
and came up with some cases of people having this problem, no solutions that
I could find.
So, if anybody has an idea, I'd appreciate it.
