Missing Printers

I have a lot of networked printers installed and if you go to any program
and select print, you'll see all of the printers. However, if you go to
Start/Printers and Faxes, they're not there! Not a big issue since I have
printers, but just wonder why they're hiding out on me and how I can get
them to show themselves.

Thanks!!

Well I tried that and it didn't work. I had also restarted the service
under Services (which it said it was running)before I tried what was in the
article and still no go. This is really more of an annoyance than anything
since we can still select what printer we'd like to print to from whatever
program we're using but a solution would still be great. Maybe renaming
some print.dll file?

What is the date for \windows\system32\printui.dll. Lantastic used to
replace this binary which would cause this behavior. Have not hit the issue
in a while so I figure they cleaned things up. Maybe someone else is doing
the same thing.

Thanks! I haven't checked it out but I'm sure you're absolutely correct.
We used to have Lantastic and I'm sure that's where the problem is. I will
do the old fix on the printui.dll and see if it corrects the problem. I'm
surprised though that it's rearing its ugly head after all this time. It's
possible that this problem has been ongoing as it's on a system that is not
used often.

Thanks again!!
Lisa
