Missing Print Dialog

Using PowerPoint XP when I click File -> Print my presentations start
printing immediately as though I had clicked the printer icon on the
button bar. I have dug around in options and I tried changing some
settings on the Print tab but nothing seemed to have any impact. I
could change some settings there but when I clicked File -> Print the
job immediately started printing again. All of my other Office apps
bring up their print dialogs normally.

Any Ideas or help would be appreciated.

Hi WP

The only thing I can think is that your 'Print...' command has been replaced
by the 'Print' command in your file menu. While they look the same other than
the '...' one opens the print dialogue box and the other does not. Try ctrl+p
and see if that works. To get the 'print...' command back go to Tools ->
customise -> commands -> open your file menu -> back in the customise
dialogue under the file category scroll through the commands to Print... and
drag it onto your file menu. You can drag the print one off if you like to
save confusion.

Is there any chance you have any add-ins installed?
An add-in could, for example, remove the existing print item on the File menu
and replace that with its own.

See if the File, Print item says "Ctrl P" as well. If not, it may be a
replacement. Also, try pressing Ctrl+P to get the print dialog box.
