my power scheme options are missing. i've tried the fix from kellys-korner
but it didn't work for me. does anyone know of other solutions? i started
noticing the missing option after my laptop battery got completely discharged
by accident. previous system restore checkpoints have also gone missing.

would appreciate any help. thanks!

Unanfae i have the same problem but, I did not see any results using method
#1? What exactly did you do, fo it to work for you? If you could help me, I
would greatly appreciate it, thank you!

lrnc143,

i just followed the instructions in method #1.
click START, click RUN, type cmd then ok. then it takes you to the black
screen command prompt...and then i just typed powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies

try it again hopefully it works this time. good luck!

I had the same power scheme problem. I do not know what caused the problem,
but I followed the instructions and everything is back the way it was. Thank
you for the good advice and help.

You are replying to something that is OVER TWO YEARS OLD.

You're obviously new at this.

Keep doing it and you will be rightly classified as a moron.
