I posted twice to this NG about an AC3 software player that uses playlists
and neither
has appeared on my news.west.earthlink.net server. Seems like this server is
an effective
strainer or maybe the strainer is smtp.earthlink.net, which I use to send
the posts? In either case,
this happens frequently to me, in addition to my emails getting bounced so,
in my experience, Earthlink sucks!

TIA

You really send Usenet posts through their mail server? If you do,
they are passing them on to Usenet without adding any headers that
indicate they were mailed.

FWIW, both your earlier posts about AC3 showed up on the
news.uni-berlin.de server, and it looks like the Cox server as well.
Looks like EL passes them around somebefore they are fed to other
servers. Here's the path to uni-berlin from your post on Tuesday:

Path: uni-berlin.de!fu-berlin.de!peer01.cox.net!cox.net!elnk-pas-nf1!newsfeed.earthlink.net!stamper.news.pas.earthlink.net!newsread3.news.pas.earthlink.net.POSTED!not-for-mail

There's a newsgroup on the EL servers for discussing the newsservers.
Actual EL news admins used to read there, but it's been a long time
since I had access to it.

Even if *your* posts haven't shown on your server; you could still
search the newsgroup for the subject line (Edit > Find > Message) to see
if you've received replies.
Failing this; there's always Google Groups:
