missing past appointments

I just noticed that all my Outlook 2000 SP-3 calendar
appointments prior to January of this year are missing--
the dates are blank, showing no appointments. I need to
look at past appointments to retrieve names, etc. Where
did they go? I periodically get the pop-up query asking
if I want to archive old items--I always answer yes. Have
they been archived? If so, how can I retrieve them?

Sure sounds like they've been archived. Check the AutoArchive properties
for your Calendar folder -- right click the folder, select Properties, then
the AutoArchive tab. If you don't want items in the Calendar automatically
archived, or if you just want to keep them in your main file longer than 6
months, make the appropriate changes to the settings on that tab. To
retrieve previously archived data, follow the instructions on the following
page:
