MISSING OUTLOOK EMAIL CURSOR

Is there some way to get a cursor in OUTLOOK email. I find it annoying to
keep testing where I'm at being used to a cursor in all wordprocessors and
email programs i've used before.
 
My Outlook has a cursor - why doesn't yours? What version of Outlook are
you using? what is your message editor and mail format?
