Help! My Windows XP PRO computer crashed says missing or
corrupt NTFS.sys. I can't use the recovery console. Maybe
because I have the upgrade version not the full version. I
used the info in Microsoft knowledge base article 822800
but no help. I can't supply the product ID numbers since
the computer don't work. Because of this I can't get
microsoft's online help. I get a black screen with the
above error message when then says press r.

I found this looking under 'Repair Console', plenty of screenshots and if
can't get RC from CD, it shows an option to download an XP-boot-floppy-set
utility (MS). I read on my travels that someone thought that 'NTFS.sys' is
probably on disc#6.
