Missing Network

Geoff

I have Windows 2000 with a USB ADSL Modem installed.
Everything is working O.K except that in the 'network and
dial up connections' box there are no icons for the
Internet connection and no icon in the system tray to show
when an internet connection is active.

I now want to share an internet connection with my Laptop
but can't access the network properties to get to
the 'share' option.

Any ideas?

Hi Geoff,

Make sure the Network Connections service is started in Services.
We have seen this issue with some third party products that make the icons disappear.
Boot into Safe Mode with Networking and see if the icons are there. If so, then determne what
is loading at startup that is causing the issue.

Thanks,
Gary
