Hello,
I have just found that my network connections icons are missing from my
network folder.
I have followed article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825826
but no luck.
Does anyone know of any other fixes for this bug. I have been able to make
the changes I wanted to my network config through the registry, but it would
be nice to have it running ok.
From other information I have found around the web, the only alternative is
a reinstall of the OS.
Ramesh: Thanks for you suggestion to my post in the windowsxp.general
group. I had already removed and redetected my NIC from device manager.
Unfortunately it has not worked.
Appreciate any positive feedback.
Cheers
Simon
FYI: The event the prompted me to change TCP/IP information was a
duplicated IP address. The network icons were present before this event
happened, but were gone after a reboot. May be conincidence.
