Missing network adapters

My PC suffered a power outage while online and now my network adapters seem
to be missing? They don't show up in my device manager anyway. I cannot get
my netzero software to run, could this be due to the missing adapters?

The NZ software installs but won't actually run, and NZ is of no help at all.

I've run virus scans and checked the disk for errors finding nothing.

Can anyone explain to me how to reinstall them? I tried it from the new
components applet but it doesn't seem to work. Admittedly I don't know what
I'm doing either : )

If anyone has any ideas on this and can email me at (e-mail address removed) I'd
appreciate it as I'm typing this from my local library. Luckily for me NZ
will let me connect manually with my modem, so I know it works. I don't know
but think it's the WAN adapter it's using. I can only check mail and browse
NZ pages though.

Even the WAN adapter doeesn't show up in my device manager.

Thanks in advance for ANY help anyone can give me...

Hi
Network adapters do not appear in the Device Manager if their drivers are
not installed, or the drivers got corrupted.
Try to reinstall the adapters drivers. If it does no help it might be that
the Network's card got damaged in the Power outage and you need new
adapters.
I you Network's adapter is a DialUp Modem it is the same story, try to
reinstall the Modem's drivers, and if it does not work you should try a New
Modem.
