Missing .msi file, how do I uninstall

Windows XP pro. I attempted to uninstall PaintShopPro8 and the uninstall
fails "Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from
the file C:\Windows\installer\Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.msi." I did a search
and the msi file does not exist.

How should I proceed? I have an installation disk for PSP8. Do I just
install it again and then uninstall? Or will that further compound the
issue? If not what should I do?

Install it.
Reboot.
Uninstall it.
