I am trying to alter the Msconfig.exe and when I went to
Start, Run and typed in either 'Msconfig'
or 'Msconfig.exe', I get a dialogue box that says "Cannot
find the file 'Msconfig' (or one of its components). Make
sure the path and filename are correct and that all
required libraries are available." How do I fix this
problem and/or download msconfig.exe?

No offense but this question has been asked at least 6 times this week so
far. Doesn't anybody know who to use advanced google groups search?

referring to the
eternal MSCONFIG question:

I wonder if it's possible to create a FAQs message that will give
instructions for searching Google, name it something such as READ THIS
BEFORE POSTING ANY QUESTIONS TO THIS GROUP! and (here's the tricky
part) set it up so it will show up as the first message in everyone's
news reader every time they check this news group and cannot be marked
read but will show up each and every time the newsgroup is opened?

OK, you experts, can you figure it out please?

NOTE: I don't think an advanced search is necessary, is it? Just going
to this group in Google and typing in MSCONFIG got me 3,100 hits!

Wtf...

How do you think I found this page? I went to google.com and ran this exact search.

"MSCONFIG MISSING"

Thank you for providing me with the msconfig.exe

Now, why the he** did it disappear in the first place?

Could it be my lack of spyware, My up to date antivirus, or my expensive hardware firewall that caused this problem?

well i fixed mine in 5 mins easy , do a search for msconfig if it comes up in search double click it or copy it into ur system folder and job done
