If the service was gone, then adding the Start DWORD is certainly not
enough, that's why I had hoped the installing netwzc.inf would do the trick.
Just to make sure, type "sc qc wzcsvc" at a command prompt and post the
results.

In Regedit, I did not have an entry for the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WZCSVC, so I added an
entry to the registry and added the DWORD entry Start with a value = 2. I
rebooted and I still did not have a service entry for WZC in Computer
Management. Ken Wickes (above) suggested installing \windows\inf\netwzc.inf
and rebooting, which I also tried and I still cannot seem to get an entry
for the WZC service.
I am running Win2000 Professional, SP4 (to my understanding, at least SP3
is required to get WZCSVC to load). I need WZCSVC because our wireless
environment requires digital certification which I undertand will not work
without the WZC service. The only thing I can assume is that there is
something that is prohibiting the WZC service from loading.
