I run XP2 Family Edition. For some unknown reason, Moviemaker2 is not
installed... and going to Windows Update does not propose the option to
install it either.
Could you tell me what I can do ?

First, there is no such thing as XP2 or Family Edition. There are currently
three versions of Windows XP:

Windows XP Home Edition
Windows XP Professional
Windows XP Media Center Edition

Movie Maker 2.0 is available for download from the Microsoft Movie Maker
website.

Movie Maker 2.1 is included in Windows XP SP2, and is not available as a
separate download.

You need to try and figure out what version of windows you are using. There
is no XP2.

Hello,

This assumes that for some reason Movie Maker can not be found in the list of
programs available via the Start button.

Using Windows Explorer navigate to Program Files/Movie Maker and look for the
file moviemk.exe...if you see files there without extensions then first go to
Folder options in Explorer and in advanced make certain that "hide file
extensions for known file types" is NOT checked.

Once you find the exe mentioned above right click it and select COPY. Then
close Windows Explorer.

Right click anywhere on the desktop and select create Shortcut, you will then
have a shortcut to Movie Maker
