Whenever I try to cleanup my computer or rearrange items
on my hard drive it tells me the filing is missing. I
have searched trying to resolve this with no luck. Any
help/suggestions would be appreciated.

This is just a caution but the nimda worm can overwrite and corrupt the mmc.exe file. With this in mind you should update your virus definitions and run a full anti-virus scan.

Unless your computer is partitioned, a copy of mmc.exe will normally be found in the c:\ windows\system32 folder and another in the c:\ windows\system32\dllcache. The file should be version 5.1.2600.0, be dated 18/8/2001 and be 756 kb. You can check the file details by placing the cursor on the file in Windows Explorer, right clicking and selecting Properties. If they differ from what I have mentioned there is a suggestion that the file has corrupted.

To see system files etc on your hard drive you need to change a number of settings. Select Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings, and check "Show hidden files and folders". Whilst there uncheck "Hide File Extensions". Also check "Display the contents of system folders".

To replace the file you can select Start, Run, enter "sfc /scannow" without quotes and click on OK.

However, before replacing the file eliminate the possibility that there is a virus on your system.
