A program for our new server was put on my computer as
a "test run". To got to the point, Outlook didn't like
it. I would freeze on the startup screen. Then it was
decided that outlook 2002 for XP would be installed
In doing that I lost all of my e-mail and contacts for
this year. I am running windows ME and was using
Microsoft Office 2000. Can anyone please help me figure
out if my e-mails and attachments from this year are on
there. Also my Calendar is not on there.

It looks like you've lost access to your original profile.

Try this:
1. Start, settings, control panel, mail -Choose show
profile: This may show one or more profiles that you used
in Outlook. e.g. Outlook or ms exchange settings.
then try relaunching Outlook to see if it picks up the old
messages. If this works, don't do anything else. If it
does not, try this

2. If you are now running Outlook XP -a. Tools, email
accounts, view or change existing accounts, then you will
should MS EXCHANGE SERVER listed in top part of box, in
lower part, you will see DELIVER NEW EMAIL TO THE
FOLLOWING LOCATION, by default you will see PERSONAL
FOLDERS, click on the arrow to see if you can see your
mailbox name e.g. smith, mary then click on FINISH -This
will repoint your messages to your server account INBOX
not your INBOX under personal folders.
3. To confirm you have a mailbox on your exchange server,
here's what you do. Tools, email accts, view or change
existing email accounts, in the next window, you will see
a button that says CHANGE, click on this button, in the
next window, you should see the name of your mail server
e.g. ABC123 and your mailbox name e.g. smith, mary
Click on More settings, confirm that it says ms exchange
server then click OK, click on NEXT and then FINISH -

Just a few suggestions, hope this helps.
