The Interactive Icons(bottom right-hand next to clock) are
missing.

If I right click on the 'Start' Button and
select 'Properties' and then select the 'Taskbar' tab,
the 'Interactive Icons' checkbox is greyed out.

Any Idea on how I can get it back?

I've been stumped by this one. Please Help!

Thanks

Criag

That's "inactive" icons and the option, when selected is to hide inactive
icons. If it is grayed out, are you attempting to access this function from
a limited account as opposed to an administrator account?

Sorry.

But no matter the name, they're still grayed out. I'm the
administrator, the only user. Still not working.

I know this is a strange one. I have searched the entire
internet for solutions and have some up with nothing.

Go to the following site, scroll to line 53, click "Hide or Show Inactive
Icons-Notification Area" in the right column.

It's usually advisable to make a System Restore point manually before
running any fix. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System
Restore. Be sure your data is backed up as well.
