Missing info in address book

I imported several CSV files into my contacts.

My contacts folder is empty but the lists underneath are full of the info i
imported. When I try to create a distribution list with these subfolder
lists the email addresses do no show up, eventhough each entry has a valid
email address. The display name column is also blank even though each has a
display name.

What should I do?

Explain how you did this import and what the hierarchy of your Contacts
Folder is now in Folder List view.
State your Outlook version.
Examine the email address fields in your Contact Records to see if they are
valid and resolved.

I have Outlook 2002. I imported the files from excel (csv format) and put
them underneath my contacts folder i.e. contacts then list 1 2 & 3 branching
off underneath. I matched up the fields and they all show up but are not
coming up int he address book.

How do I make sure they are valid and resolved?

Just open a Contact Record and look at the email address. If it is
underlined, it is resolved.
If they are, then you may just need to enable these subfolders as email
address books in their properties.

address books in the properties section. Any other ideas?

Just open a Contact Record and look at the email address. If it is
underlined, it is resolved.
If they are, then you may just need to enable these subfolders as email
address books in their properties.

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >
Are the folders you want to view listed there? IF not, can you add them?
