Hi, I can't connect to my USB connected Canon Camera
because Image Aquisition Service evidently no longer exists
(It's not listed in "Services") How can I re-install this
service? (I tried looking for it under Control Panel>Add
Software>Add Windows components. Not there.

Thanks for any help.

Not only do I not have any Windows Image Acquisition
drivers on my computer (under Control
Panel/AdminTools/Services), but I also cannot see where
my "Accessories" are... Accessories are not located
under "COMPONENTS" when I go to 'ADD/REMOVE WINDOWS
ACCESSORIES'.

I noticed the above because my Twain Drivers aren't
recognized, at all... and I've been trying to reinstall
them to absolutely no avail, even though my scanner is in
fact recognized and in good shape according to the Device
Manager. I've checked the scanner connection, permissions,
and uninstalled prior installations, etc...
Yet still, for some reason all of my software does not
recognize neither a scanner nor does it have access to any
WIA drivers nor Twain Device.

Can these be reinstalled? Does it have something to do
with conflicting softwares (this happened around the time
that I was installing DigVidCamcorder software...?

Thanks for your attention... i am so lost!

Hi Phil,

I have the same problem as you ... did you find out? One
thing I found out is that none of the Win2k Professional
os have WIA drivers listed under Services... I verified
this on someone elses computer.. so I don't know how to
proceed from here... one solution is to just install them,
no?

but it looks like I might have to reinstall/reformat the
OS... hope not. There is something buggy with it though.

Cheers,
Roberto
