missing icons

Bought a new 80 gig HD and clone my XP install with ghost, eveything seemed
to be ok untill I removed the old HD which was C: and now XP is on D:, at
any rate I fix what little quirks there were with wanting to make calls to
C:. My main issue now is that I have no icons in the left pane of windows
explorer and I have tried many things to get them back, power toys,
searching the registry for any references to C: and so on. I read some older
posts on a help page and this person had the same problem and basicly did
what I did, they fixed it by formating and reinstalling, I do not want to do
this, everything works just missing icons and to be truthful it seems naked
with out the little icons There has to be a solution. Thanks in adavance for
any help..

Is the pane there? Have you tried "View" "Explorer Bar" then choosing
something?

Yes, its all there My docs , all my Hds and so on. looks like normal just
missing all the icons, folder icons and so forth. Left pane missing, right
pane normal, I am at a lose here, it was cloned should the the exact same
thing.

Are the folders showing from the desktop?
